Blind Spot by Dani Pettrey

Welcome back to the Chesapeake Valor series.  Book 3 in this incredible series focuses on FBI Agent Declan Grey and a ghost of a terrorist that he is chasing.  As Declan meets up with his boss to lay out new leads and a new plan of attack, he’s shocked to see Tanner Shaw included in the meeting.  Tanner has recently joined the FBI as a crisis counselor, but their paths have crossed before.  Can they put their differences aside and work together to uncover this threat against the United States?  Can Tanner trust Declan with the inroads she has made with the immigrant community to further assist the investigation? Don’t miss the boat on this one, run and BUY THIS BOOK!

Ever stop to think why you read a book?  Fast-Paced; check!  Strong characters; check!  Suspenseful; check!  This book has it all, as do all of the books written by Dani Pettrey.  It’s refreshing to know that I can always pick up any book written by Dani and be thoroughly entertained.  The Christian Fiction landscape has changed greatly over the last several years, but the writing by Dani Pettrey will never change, it will always keep you Up All Night!

Is this a "Guys Book"?   Terrorist activity, gun battles and suspense.  What more would you ask for in a great guy’s book.  Yeah, I know that this is considered Romantic Suspense, but we’ll let that slide for now J

90 Seconds with the Author!

Dani has been gracious enough to answer a few questions for us:

Are there any new authors that have grasped your interest?
Yes. Rachel Dylan! She’s a new Bethany House author, and I just endorsed her upcoming release Deadly Proof. It’s a wonderful legal thriller.

How are you the same/different from some of your main characters?
Great question. The character I’m most like is Bailey Craig from Submerged. We share a lot of the same past struggles and finding our true identity in Christ. All my other characters are their own, but several share things I like or traits of mine such as sitting Indian-style all the time, hating shoes (I’m a barefoot girl), loving summer, and, of course, adoring coffee J

Why do you feel you had to tell this story?
To be fully honest, when I started the series, Declan was my least favorite of the gang. I liked him, but wasn’t wow about him and Tanner was a total surprise as I was writing the first draft of Cold Shot. She just showed up. But, I quickly fell in love with the pair. I couldn’t wait to get to Blind Spot and to be able to tell their story. I had so much fun writing their journey, and loved throwing in a few surprises. I hope readers really love them.

You were just given a new Yacht, what would you name it?
Oh. I love how you think J Hmmm. I’d name is Free at Sea. I LOVE the ocean and try to spend as much time at the beach or on the water as possible. It’s where I feel closet to God and most free and relaxed.

If you were to create a slogan for your life, what would it be?
I just created a tag line for my blog that encompasses it and in reflection, encompasses what’s most important to me.
Faith. Family. Fiction.
But we’d have to squeeze coffee in their somewhere J
I also love: Adventuring with God Wherever the Story Takes Me. Our lives are stories in the making and I just follow God as he leads and try and enjoy the adventure of it all. It’s a great ride!
